Arkhangelsk is one of the largest port cities in the North of Russia. It is located at the mouth and on the banks of the Northern Dvina. The city was founded at the end of the 16th century. Despite this, the ruins of the fortress attract many tourists who wished to touch the "past centuries". The historical and architectural ensemble "Gostiny Dvory" is a unique monument of Russian stone architecture of the 17th century. It is one of the few such complexes in Russia that have survived to this day. This is one of the symbols of Arkhangelsk. In the very heart of Arkhangelsk there is the so-called Chubrarovka - a pedestrian street-museum. Old wooden buildings were brought here, among which, Marfin Dom and the former house of the Commercial Assembly. Undoubtedly, Cape Pur-Navolok is worth a visit - this is the place from where Arkhangelsk began its history. There is a monument in the shape of a sea wave. In addition, the city has many churches, there is also a mosque and even a Lutheran church. Fans of active recreation should visit the amusement park "Amusement Dvor" in Arkhangelsk. There are more than two dozen different attractions here. There are many catering establishments in the city, where every guest will be glad. Trescoed is very popular - it is a real Pomor restaurant.
