Long railway crossings are a characteristic feature of Russia, because the country is not only the largest in the world, but also the longest. The Moscow-Vladivostok route, for example, takes about one week. It is difficult to imagine that someone had to travel continuously for a week by train across European countries.
Necessary
- - wet antibacterial wipes,
- - paper handkerchiefs,
- - dry shampoo,
- - travel hygiene kit (toothbrush, paste, soap).
Instructions
Step 1
A long train ride starts with preparation. It is very important to take the necessary things with you, because it will be difficult to get them on the road. Be sure to have antibacterial wet wipes and dry tissue paper with you. Place a few changes of underwear, light, comfortable train clothes and deodorant close by. You can't usually wash on the train, but you can at least wipe your body with wet wipes and change your clothes more often. You can use dry shampoo to prevent greasy hair - no water is required to apply it.
Step 2
Toilet on trains is the main problem. Even if the conductor regularly cleans it, it is still not very clean. However, you need to brush your teeth every day. Remember to wash your hands with antibacterial soap before eating. It is better to use your own soap.
Step 3
Usually, people try to drink less so that they use the toilet less often on trains. Sometimes it happens by itself. But it's better to buy a slightly more expensive ticket to the branded car with a cleaner toilet than to wear out the resource of your kidneys, doing without water. One and a half liters of water should be drunk daily, wherever you are.
Step 4
If you want to spend a few days on the train, then you have to eat something. The choice of food for the trip is very important, they should not deteriorate for at least a few days at room temperature, since the refrigerator cannot be used. On the first day of the trip, you can take almost any food, it simply does not have time to disappear. For the rest, you should stock up on foods such as non-perishable fruits and vegetables, cheese, bread or crispbread, muesli, and nutritional bars. Various soups and instant mashed potatoes are popular meals on the train. Canned food can be a good variety. You can use the services of a dining car, but keep in mind that prices are sometimes quite high there.
Step 5
Get outside at all stops to get some fresh air and stretch your legs. At least once a day, the train makes a long stop, about an hour. This is a great chance to purchase fresh food that cannot be stored on the train (for example, some fruits or dairy products) and to refill your water supplies. There are so long stops that people have time to take a shower in the station building.
Step 6
Don't forget to take your entertainment on the road. A player with a supply of batteries, a tablet, an interesting book, magazines, scanwords or handicrafts: this activity will allow you to avoid boredom - the main problem of people traveling on the train.
Step 7
If you can hardly stand even short train journeys, you can try splitting the road in two by purchasing two tickets. In the middle of the journey, stop in some city at a hotel for the night to take a break from the train.
