The name of the Peregrine Falcon is consistent with its prototype - a swift bird from the Falcon squad, which develops high speed in flight. The peregrine falcon does not look like most of the trains common in Russia, since it has a pointed "nose" with a semicircular window in the driver's cab. It is painted in the colors of the Russian flag - white, red and blue-blue. In appearance, the doors of the cars are more like aircraft doors, and all the Sapsan lines are very smooth, without protruding parts for the fastest possible acceleration.

The number of Sapsan cars is 10, the maximum capacity is 554 passengers, the length of each car is 25.53 meters, the width is 3.26 meters, and the track width is 1.52 meters. The metal of manufacture is high-strength aluminum, and the maximum speed that the train can develop is 350 kilometers per hour with an average of 250 kilometers. The train is capable of moving at ambient temperatures up to minus 50 degrees Celsius.

The interior of the Sapsan cars deserves special attention. It is very comfortable and designed for long distance travel. All chairs have adjustable backrests, folding tables, armrests and special leg supports. The backrests have removable headrests, and the protective shawls are changed after each flight.

The Sapsan designers paid great attention to the safety of passengers. So in the car there are almost no sharp corners and protruding edges of interior items. In addition, a computerized security system monitors all components and assemblies of the train throughout the entire route.

One car of the train also differs in its appearance - a restaurant located in the very center of the rolling stock. In it you can comfortably have a snack both sitting and standing at a special table. It is also possible to deliver ready meals to a specific place at the request of the passenger. It is also noteworthy that special attention was paid to the comfort of people with disabilities when designing the train. Especially for them, in the sixth from the "nose" of the Sapsan carriage there is a reliable fastening for wheelchairs with a button to call the conductor and a special toilet room. In addition, in all Sapsan zones, the floor is of the same height, due to which a person in a wheelchair can move comfortably along the train.
