The UAE is a country where Russian tourists like to relax. To visit it, Russian citizens need a visa. It can be issued in several different ways: through a visa center, a tour operator or airlines and hotels.
UAE visa documents
The UAE visa is issued a little differently, depending on which method you use. It is recommended in each specific case to clarify the list of documents and the requirements for them, since they may differ. The amount of fees and payment methods are also different. In general, the list of documents is as follows:
- passport, valid for at least 6 months. after the end of the trip;
- a copy of all pages of the passport;
- copies of visas from the old passport (if any);
- a photograph measuring 43 x 55 mm;
- a questionnaire completed in English;
- invitation (if the visit is private);
- hotel reservation (if the purpose of the trip is tourism);
- copies of significant pages from the passport of the Russian Federation;
- documents confirming financial status;
- air tickets to the country;
- a copy of the marriage certificate (for women traveling without a husband);
- $ 1,500 as a security against leaving the country (for unmarried women under 30).
If you are applying for an e-visa, then its form will be sent by e-mail. It must be printed out and presented when passing through passport control. The Visa Application Center does not paste the sticker into the passport, but also issues a printout that you need to have with you. A visa for all countries looks somewhat different, but the very fact that you received it from a visa center is a guarantee of its authenticity.
Visas are not issued for children traveling without parents. If the passport contains an Israeli visa, this may be a reason for refusing entry or even when applying for a visa. Unmarried women under 30 may face additional difficulties in obtaining a visa.
Visa through travel agency or hotel
In case you bought a tour in the UAE, then it is best to apply for a visa through a travel agency. In this case, you need to collect all the necessary documents and then scan them so that they are easy to read.
Hotels are also involved in visa processing. The same documents can be sent to the hotel if you have made your own reservation.
Usually the company that deals with the registration charges an additional fee for this, so it is not known exactly how much the visa will cost in each individual case. The visa processing time is 7-10 working days.
Visa for passengers "Emirates"
If you are flying to the Emirates on an Emirates plane, you can apply for a tourist or cruise visa through the Dubai Visa Application Centers.
The applicant must have the so-called "Traveler Status", that is, he must have visas from countries such as the USA, Great Britain, Schengen countries, Canada, Australia, Japan, New Zealand in his passport for the last 5 years. It is necessary to provide photocopies of the pages with these visas.
Those who do not have such visas in the applicant's passport need to present a certificate of income (there must be at least 400 thousand per year), a certificate from work with a salary of at least 33,500 rubles. If the applicant does not meet any of the criteria, they will not be issued a visa.
Emirates passengers can apply for a visa through the B2B system, they do not need to visit the visa center in person.
Etihad Airways Passenger Visa
If your ticket to the UAE was purchased from Etihad Airways, a visa is issued at the UAE Visa Application Center in Moscow. It is necessary to collect the entire package of documents, which can be submitted in person or through a courier service. It is also possible to submit all documents online by sending scanned copies if you fill out the application form on the website of the visa center.
Visa Application Center for Asian Countries
The Visa Application Center for Asian Countries is located in Moscow, where you can also apply for a UAE visa. You should fill out an electronic application form on the website of the visa center, attaching all scanned documents to it. You can track your visa status online.
If a positive decision is made, then the visa is sent by e-mail. You can submit documents in paper form. Usually, a visa is issued in 5-7 working days.
