The new bridge connecting the banks of the Danube is one of the most popular places in Bratislava. At the top of the bridge pillar (95 m) there is an observation deck and a restaurant. On the right side of the bridge support there is a staircase (430 steps), on the left side there is an elevator.
Cathedral of St. Martin is one of the largest and most famous churches in Slovakia, where the coronations of the Austro-Hungarian rulers were held. A medieval monument is the Michal Gate, which was used as one of the entrances to the city of Bratislava. The Academy of Sciences, the National Gallery, and the National Museum are located in Bratislava.
