Features of the sea coasts
The longest is the beach line of the Mediterranean Sea, it is about 240 kilometers. The mild climate, clear azure waters, fine sand, rich history combined with developed infrastructure attract travelers from different countries here. The most popular Mediterranean resorts in Israel: Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Netanya. Most of the beaches, both municipal and private, are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay (sun loungers, umbrellas).
Israel's Red Sea coast is narrow, however, there is one of the most popular resorts in the country - Eilat (formerly Umm Rashrash). The resort town is located on the border with Egypt (Taba) and Jordan (Aqaba). It is home to about 50,000 people. The infrastructure at this resort is very developed. In particular, there are excellent hotels of different categories, all kinds of entertainment venues, among which the Eilat Aquarium is especially noteworthy - an underwater observatory created right in a coral reef. While in the city, you should definitely visit the oceanarium. Believe me, observing the life of the underwater inhabitants of the Red Sea is an exciting experience. The Dead Sea is a unique lake known all over the world for its medicinal properties. 49 chemical elements are dissolved in the waters, which makes the reservoir both useful and harmful to the body. All tourists who come to swim in the sea must be warned that they should not be in the water for more than 15 minutes. There is so much salt in the sea that it does not completely dissolve, and plays the role of bottom sand.
On the coast of this sea there are several excellent hotels, various shops, restaurants and cafes. At an impressive distance from the tourist area, there are chemical plants where bromine and other elements are mined. Currently, the Dead Sea is draining heavily (by 1 meter per year), as a result of which a canal is being built that will connect the Red and Dead Seas.
