The process of obtaining a multiple entry visa to Italy is no different from obtaining a regular visa to this country, since the decision to issue a multiple entry visa is made by the consulate. - - international passport, valid 90 days from the date of expiry of the visa;

Step 1
It is best to start applying for a visa to Italy with the collection of documents. The application form can be downloaded from the consulate website or taken from the visa center. It is permissible to fill out the questionnaire on a computer or by hand; in the latter case, it must be done in block letters. Upon completion, the questionnaire must be signed.
Step 2
All documents attached in support of the application must be provided with photocopies, with the exception of a certificate from work and a bank statement: it is better to submit these papers in their original form. The certificate from work must be made on letterhead and be sealed by the company, it should also be submitted for signature to the chief accountant and manager. The account statement must be certified by the seal of the bank. Funds on the account should be at the rate of 50-60 euros for each day of stay in the country. No paper translation required.
Step 3
Citizens of Russia, in order to apply for an Italian visa, need to contact the consulate or visa center of Italy, they are available in most major cities. A complete list of visa centers is easiest to check on the consulate's website. Acceptance of documents is carried out by appointment, but if you apply at the Moscow Visa Application Center, then there is an opportunity to do it on a first-come, first-served basis. This option is only valid for individuals.
Step 4
Typically, a visa is ready in 4 to 14 working days. Processing times may increase if you are applying during the high season. In the vast majority of cases, the application is processed no longer than one week. The cost of a visa is 35 euros, but if you apply at a visa center, you need to pay additionally for its services.
Step 5
The practice of issuing multiple visas for Russian citizens has become common for the Italian consulate. Even if you have never been to the Schengen countries, subject to a solid-looking package of documents (enough funds in the account, constant stable work, possibly the presence of stamps of other countries in the passport), the chances of getting a multiple entry visa are very high. If you have been to Schengen within the past two years, you will receive a multivisa with almost one hundred percent guarantee, subject to the approval of the visa application.
Step 6
It is common practice in Italy to issue a multivisa for half a year with a stay of 90 days. If this is not the first time you apply to Italians, then you can safely count on a one-year visa or even a two-year one.
