Tsarskoe Selo, the city of Pushkin - the names of the same magnificent suburb of St. Petersburg. Luxurious parks and palaces of the suburban royal residence, turned into a museum-reserve, and the famous Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum make Pushkin very popular among tourists, and transport accessibility adds to its attractiveness.

Step 1
The most popular way to get to Pushkin is by rail. All electric trains departing from the Vitebsk railway station (Pushkinskaya metro station) follow to the Tsarskoye Selo platform. Travel time is about half an hour. The same trains can be taken at the intermediate station "Kupchino" (metro station "Kupchino"). In this case, the road to Tsarskoe Selo will take only 15 minutes.
It takes about half an hour to walk from the Tsarskoye Selo railway station to the main sights of the city (the Catherine Palace, the Lyceum, parks): they are located two kilometers from the station. Or you can use buses or fixed-route taxis. Almost all routes go to the parks, the bus stop is at the Railway Station Square, opposite the exit from the last electric train cars.
Step 2
You can also get to Tsarskoe Selo by bus or minibus from Moskovskaya and Kupchino metro stations. In the absence of traffic jams, the travel time will be 30-50 minutes. At the Moskovskaya metro station, boarding buses is made at the stop near the building of the House of Soviets (exit from the metro towards Altayskaya Street). You can get to Tsarskoe Selo by minibuses No. 545, 287, 299, 347, 342 or by bus No. 187. From the metro station "Kupchino" you can take minibuses No. 545A, 286, 287, 342, 347 (exit from the metro to side of Vitebsky prospect). Since Pushkin is located within the city, the fare will be the same as on city routes.
Step 3
Another way to get to Tsarskoye Selo is the Luga direction electric trains leaving the Baltiysky railway station (Baltiyskaya metro station) and passing through Leninsky Prospekt station (10-15 minutes walk from Leninsky Prospekt metro station). They can take you to the Aleksandrovskaya railway station. Travel time from the Baltic station is about half an hour. The station is located three kilometers from the main attractions of Tsarskoye Selo - you can reach them on foot through Babolovsky and Aleksandrovsky parks or take buses 378 or 275 (the stop is opposite the railway station).
Step 4
If you want to turn the road into a little adventure, in summer you can also get to Tsarskoye Selo on the miniature train of the Malaya Oktyabrskaya children's railway, which runs from Molodezhnaya station (Kupchino metro station) to Tsarskoselskaya station. The children's railway works only during summer holidays, on Wednesdays, trains to Pushkin are from 15 to 19 hours, from Thursday to Sunday from 10 to 19 hours. The train interval is about an hour.
