Perhaps Israel is a truly unique country with a unique history. Three world religions coexist here, here every stone breathes history. It was almost impossible to get to the “promised land” in previous years. Now it is quite easy to do this, since visas for Russian citizens were canceled back in 2008.

Step 1
First of all, decide on the purpose of your trip. Israel is not only a country of unique historical monuments. Many attractive tourist centers can be found on the shores of the Mediterranean, Red and Marmara Seas. Of course, the main attraction of this country is the holy city of Jerusalem, the capital of three religions, a city that is more than three thousand years old.

Choose a method of transportation. You can get to Israel by plane from Moscow: there are daily charter flights to Tel Aviv for tourists. Travel time is 4 hours. Airlines include Israir Airlines, Sundor, El Al Israel Airlines and, of course, Aeroflot. You can fly from Russian cities with Ural Airlines and Siberia airlines. Despite the seeming ease of crossing the Israeli border, keep in mind that border fees for crossing the Israeli border only grow every year. This must be borne in mind if you plan to travel from Israel, for example, to Jordan.

Next, decide on the visa issue. Since 2008, no visa is required for tourist trips of no more than 90 days. The same applies to travel for the purpose of visiting relatives, transit and business travel for a period not exceeding 90 days. To enter, the following documents are required: a valid passport, a copy of an internal passport, a certificate from the place of work on a letterhead indicating the position held, length of service and salary, air tickets or ticket reservations, an international medical insurance policy, a hotel reservation, an invitation from relatives in case of visiting relatives, a letter from a medical institution if the purpose of the trip is treatment.
Step 4
The period of a visa stay in Israel can be extended by contacting the Israeli Ministry of Internal Affairs and subject to essential conditions. Remember that if your passport contains visas for Syria, Libya, Iran, Lebanon and some other countries, this may cause undue attention from the Israeli special services upon arrival in this country. At the same time, please note that a number of countries prohibit the entry into their territories of citizens with passports, where there are visas of the State of Israel. These are the countries of Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Sudan.
Step 5
After resolving the visa issue, book your hotel. Most of the hotels in Israel are of an international standard, with the only difference that many of them do not have websites, therefore it is impossible to book a hotel, as is the case everywhere, online. The average cost of a hotel room in 2010 was 147 euros.
Step 6
While in Israel, take basic precautions and respect Israel's security scruples. In any store, a tourist can be examined by special security guards. It is not recommended to photograph strategic objects. Remember that any detention in excess of 20 minutes is equivalent to arrest, after which the tourist has the right to go to court with a claim to recover moral damage from the Israeli police.
