You finally decided to make yourself a great weekend and went to St. Petersburg. There are so many sights in the city on the Neva that I would like to see, but you definitely cannot manage it in two days. So where does the traveler go first?
It is necessary
St. Petersburg card, pocket money
Instructions
Step 1
On Saturday you can direct your sneakers towards Peterhof. Beautiful fountains and statues have become one of the symbols of the Northern Capital. Find the Baltic Station on the map and take the metro there. Arriving at the place, find out the time of departure of electric trains to Krasnoflotsk, Oranienbaum or Kalische. Feel free to take one of these trains (not forgetting to buy a ticket) and in 45 minutes you will be there. Get off at the station "New Peterhof".
Step 2
If you are not tired after returning from Peterhof, be sure to go see the bridges. Using the map, determine your location and the location of the hotel, so as not to accidentally pass the time not as planned, but still very Petersburg-style - to get stuck on Vasilievsky Island.
Step 3
On Sunday, it makes sense not to go far, but to walk around the city center, fortunately, all the sights are nearby. Go to the Hermitage for a couple of hours, go up to St. Isaac's Cathedral to enjoy a beautiful panorama of the old city. Going down from Isakia, cross the bridge and you will find yourself next to the famous Cabinet of Curiosities. Take a walk along the embankment, stroke the famous sphinxes, perhaps they will give you a riddle. Admire the ships and the circling seagulls
Step 4
Finally, walk along the Nevsky Prospect and take a look at one of the many pancakes or pies. The food there is cheap and very tasty, and you are probably tired walking in the fresh air. Enjoy your weekend!
