Camping sites are becoming more and more popular among Russian tourists. On the one hand, you can comfortably relax almost anywhere in the world, on the other hand, there is no need to pay a considerable amount for a hotel room. But this is only if you choose a really high-quality and comfortable camping tent, specially designed for long-term living.
Instructions
Step 1
A camping tent differs from an ordinary tent primarily in that it is designed for a long rest in one place. It doesn't have to be quick and easy to assemble. Most likely, it will be quite heavy: depending on the capacity, the weight of such tents ranges from 7 to 15 kg. This is due to the fact that camping equipment is usually transported by car, and its most important characteristic is the comfort of use. Therefore, when choosing a tent, be guided first of all by how comfortable it will be for you to spend a rather long time in it.
Step 2
The basic rule of thumb when choosing a camping tent is the bigger the better. There should be a vestibule, one or two spacious "rooms", windows, at least two entrances, a "pantry". Ideally, 4-5 people can be accommodated there. Usually you can stand upright in camping tents - and this is especially pleasant for hikers. During your vacation, you yourself will see this if you choose such a tent for the first time. It is important that your portable home is equipped with mosquito nets.
Step 3
Pay attention to the awning. Well, if the material for it is nylon or polyester, ripstop is even better. It is important that there is sufficient clearance between the awning and the tent, otherwise, during heavy rain, the two layers of fabric will come into contact and your summer home will begin to get wet. The seams of the awning must be glued, as this is the most vulnerable spot, water can seep into them. Arcs are desirable to have aluminum, not plastic. Plastic is much cheaper, but metal arcs are more reliable and durable. Also check the fabric of the bottom. It must be strong, otherwise, if holes are formed, the tent will leak from the bottom.
Step 4
Check how well your tent has ventilation and system of entrances and windows. It is best if there are two vents placed opposite each other at the top of the tent. Windows are good to have such that you can adjust the temperature in each "room" of the tent. The convenience of getting into the tent depends on the entrances.
Step 5
The complexity of assembly is not a disadvantage for a camping tent. It is installed for a long time, therefore the strength and reliability of the entire structure are more important here than the speed of installation. Lots of arcs are normal with this tent, so it's best to just put it together with someone.
