Only one fact that 10 rivers flow into the Tsimlyansk reservoir indicates that its ichthyofauna is very rich, it numbers more than forty species of various fish. The most numerous inhabitants of the Tsimlyansk reservoir are roach, crucian carp, bream, rudd and carp. In coastal wetlands, predatory pike and perch hide. But to catch a pike perch or catfish, you will have to try hard.
In addition, when going fishing here, you must remember that fishing in the Tsimlyansk reservoir is very specific. Due to the huge area of water, it is best to use a boat, which must be selected taking into account the strength of the current, the height of the waves and the depth of the reservoir. Fever at Novocherkasskaya GRES
Local residents call a warm water intake canal, which was artificially created to cool the turbine of the power plant. Warm water from the Novocherkasskaya TPP is constantly discharged into it. This is the most favorite place for winter and year-round fishing for fishermen of the Rostov region. Here you can find perch, bream, pike perch, carp, pike, silver carp, which peck at any tackle. Silicone baits and various spinners are used.
In the Warm Canal, there is still a Canadian, or, as the locals say, channel catfish. It is this fish that leads a desperate struggle for life, forcing the fisherman to work hard to get the catch.
Sal river
If you are looking for unspoiled natural spots and sparsely populated fishing grounds, the Sal River is the best choice. It is quiet and calm here, civilization has not yet made its way here, and the fish in the river grows and reproduces beautifully. Catfish are the best of all fish. They are not picky about almost any bait - crayfish, worms, molluscs, etc. The asp is also found in the river, which can reach very large sizes.
