Instructions

Step 1

For a tourist visa, you will need to collect a full package of documents, which you then need to take to the visa center or directly to the consulate of Poland. Some documents are subject to additional requirements, if they are not met, then the applicant can only count on a short single-entry visa. If all the conditions are met, it is quite possible to count on a multivisa with a long validity period. For residents of border areas, such as the Kaliningrad region, visa requirements are usually simplified.

Step 2

Since autumn 2013, Poland has made special requirements for hotel reservations. It is desirable that they be prepaid at least 50%. The length of stay in hotels and the duration of the trip must be at least three days if you are counting on a multivisa. It is imperative to attach a receipt for the hotel's payment, otherwise the multivisa will not be delivered.

Step 3

The application for a Polish visa can be filled out either on a paper form or on the website online. In the second case, you need to go to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, then find the "Visas" section and select the "Schengen visa - register the form" menu item. Then select the place to submit your application. It must be the Polish Embassy or its Consulate General; electronic application forms are not accepted at visa centers. Then select the type of visa. The questionnaire is filled out in English or Polish, 30 minutes are allotted for this. Even if you don’t know English, it’s enough if you prepare your answers in advance. After completing the filling, a document with a bar code will be automatically generated, which must be printed and presented with it to the consular department. The application form also needs to be printed and signed.

Step 4

When traveling with children, a full package of documents and a separate visa are issued for each child. It is desirable that the child has his own passport, but if he does not have one, then the child's visa will be pasted into the parent's passport. After 14 years, it is necessary to have your passport. When visiting a visa center or consulate, be sure to have all the originals of the child's documents with you. If he is traveling with one of the parents, then a notarized power of attorney and permission to take out the child are required.

Step 5

Before submitting documents, it is recommended to fold them in the following order: a questionnaire, then an invitation or hotel reservation, then a certificate from work, further confirmation of the availability of finance, insurance, after it copies of pages with previous Schengen visas (if any), a copy of the first page international passports. This makes the work of the consular staff easier.

Step 6

You can submit documents in person, but it is allowed to do this through an outside person, by notarial power of attorney. It is permissible for a representative of an accredited travel agency to do this. If a close relative submits a visa application, then a power of attorney is not required, but you need to confirm the relationship with the help of documents.

Step 7

As a rule, the visa is ready in 5-10 working days, but urgent registration is possible in 3 days if there are ticket reservations. The consular fee for a Schengen visa for Russian citizens is 35 euros, 70 euros for an urgent visa. If you are applying through the Visa Application Center, then a service fee is also payable, which may vary slightly from city to city.
