Getting an entry visa is always a little stressful. Even if your passport is replete with Schengen visas, all documents are in order and no violations of law have been noticed for you, you will not be able to do without some worries. What can we say about those who are going to get their first visa! In order not to spoil your new passport with an unpleasant refusal stamp, carefully prepare for your visit to the embassy.
It is necessary
- - international passport;
- - document confirming income;
- - tourist voucher or invitation;
- - confirmed hotel reservation;
- - round trip tickets.
Instructions
Step 1
Check the validity of your passport - after the end of the intended trip, it must be valid for at least three months. It is advisable that there are no outstanding visas in the passport - if this happens, get ready to explain the reason. Expired visas can also make a negative impression.
Step 2
Take care of obtaining a document confirming your solvency. It can be a certificate from the accounting department of your company, drawn up in free form, certified by the signature of the head of the company and a round seal. The monthly income figure should be adequate - if you officially receive the minimum, ask to indicate the real, albeit gray, salary. You should not bring a certificate in the 2-NDFL form, the embassy does not need it.
Step 3
Instead of a certificate, you can provide a fresh statement from your personal account (especially important for individual entrepreneurs) or a free-form sponsorship letter. Attach a certificate of income of the guarantor or an extract from his bank account to the sponsorship letter.
Step 4
Check the embassy's requirements listed on its official website. There should be a list of required documents. If a copy of the paper is required, do not give the original - it may not be accepted or later not returned. However, when providing copies, have the original document ready and be prepared to show it.
Step 5
When getting a visa to "difficult" countries like the United States or Great Britain, take with you documents that prove your reliability and lack of intention to illegally emigrate - for example, a document confirming the ownership of an apartment.
Step 6
Decide the housing issue in advance. You must have an invitation from friends or relatives who are ready to welcome you on their territory, a tourist voucher or a hotel reservation. It's a good idea to get return tickets and show them if necessary.
Step 7
If you are asked for any additional documents, be ready to provide them promptly. Usually such precautions are followed when applying for long-term visas. As for short-term tourist ones, law-abiding citizens with properly executed papers and an impeccable passport receive refusals quite rarely.
