Step 1
First of all, the host party, that is, your friends or relatives who are abroad, must draw up and send you an invitation to the country. Also, a voucher from a travel company may be an invitation. Thus, they guarantee that you, while on the territory of another state, will comply with all rules and laws. That is why this type of visa is denied only in 5% of cases. A visitor visa does not give the right to work within the country and is issued, as a rule, for a period of no more than a year.
Step 2
Pick up the following package of documents: a valid foreign passport, photographs of the required sample, an invitation. These are the most common documents required in Schengen countries. If, for example, you are going to travel to the United States or Canada, you will have to collect documents confirming your connections in Russia: certificates of ownership of property, certificates of marriage and birth of children, certificates from the place of work.
Step 3
Fill out the form in the language of the host country or in English. It indicates the applicant's passport data, the purpose of arrival in the country, the period of stay in it, the address. This could be a hotel or the home of a friend who invited you. Also indicate other valid visas and their duration. If you receive a visitor visa to Germany, then you automatically have the right to visit any other Schengen country without additional documents. You must attach a 3x4 photo on a white background to the application form.

Pay the entry fee. The consulate will tell you the amount and bank.

If required by the host country, go for an interview. For example, when entering America, no documents will help you get a visa if you fail to convince the consular officer that you are not going to stay in the country forever. Young unmarried girls, who have a great chance to meet their future husband abroad, may have particular difficulties.
