Instructions
Step 1
A Schengen visa for a period of one year can be issued both for a guest trip to a specific individual and for a business trip. To obtain it, you need to contact the embassy of the country you need or the one in which you plan to stay most of your trip.
Step 2
Despite the fact that the Schengen visa allows you to travel freely throughout the European Union, the embassies of some countries are very reluctant to issue visas if you do not plan to stay for a long time in their home state. This also needs to be taken into account when choosing a consulate.
Step 3
Go to the website of the embassy you need and specify the list and forms of documents that will need to be provided to obtain a visa. Usually they include: a foreign passport, which ends no earlier than 6 months from the date of the end of the visa, a photocopy of a Russian passport, 2 color photographs, a certificate from the place of work with a designated position and salary, a bank statement, medical insurance, documents confirming the purpose of the trip (invitations, hotel reservations, etc.), completed application form.
Step 4
Schedule an interview at the embassy. This can be done on the website or by phone indicated there.
Step 5
Usually, on the official website, you can fill out an application form in advance. If possible, do it. Print the completed application form and sign it. This will save you from possible errors and inaccuracies when filling out, since the system will not automatically allow you to print an application with incorrectly filled fields.
Step 6
Visit the embassy at the appointed time, pay the required consular fee, provide all the necessary documents and go through an interview. If the provided information suits the representatives of the embassy, they will put the desired one-year Schengen visa in your passport.
