Often a visa is required to travel to another country. How do you get the desired document? And what documents are expected from you at the embassy of a foreign country? Most often, you can collect documents for a period from a week to several months.

Instructions
Step 1
You will need to present a general civil passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. Please note that it must be valid for the entire trip and an additional three months. Therefore, take care of issuing a passport of the Russian Federation in a timely manner (the change takes place at 20 and 45 years old).
Step 2
A passport is required to stay on the territory of other states (with the exception of a number of CIS countries). You can apply for a passport on the State Services portal (see the Resources section for a link). To register it, you will need to pay a fee of 2,000 rubles, take a picture at the FMS and provide a Russian passport.
Step 3
It is necessary to present 4-6 photographs of the established sample. This is usually 35 by 45 mm. Some embassies require a different format.
Step 4
Also, the embassy is required to present a document confirming the financial security of the trip. We need a statement of your account from your bank. If your cash reserves are small, you can get a credit card with a high overdraft (payment limit).
Step 5
If you want to get a visitor visa, please provide an invitation from a citizen of another country and a copy of his passport. They may require proof that the citizen has housing conditions suitable for receiving a guest.
Step 6
To obtain a visitor visa, you need to present two tickets: to and from the country. Although the original tickets are officially required, printouts of reservations from electronic services may also work.
Step 7
If a person has a ban on leaving the country in connection with professional activities of state significance (federal services, military industry), it is necessary to present an exit permit signed by the head of the organization / enterprise and certified by the federal seal (stamp).
Step 8
Note about the additional conditions for filling out the embassy questionnaires. Often, even such little things as pen color, font size, etc. are important. If you were born before 1992, write “USSR” under “Country of birth”. Not all embassies issue the questionnaires themselves - sometimes they have to be printed.
