Instructions

Step 1

Check the validity of your foreign passport, it must expire no earlier than 90 days from the date of departure. Take a copy of the photo page.

Step 2

Contact a photo studio and take 1 color photograph, 35 x 45 mm.

Step 3

Fill out the Schengen visa application form. It can be obtained free of charge at the consular department of the Embassy of the Czech Republic, at the Czech Visa Application Center or downloaded from the website of the Embassy and printed on four sheets. Use latin capital letters for filling. In question 37 and on the last page, please sign your name.

Step 4

Contact the insurance company and apply for a medical policy valid in the territory of the Schengen countries. Remember that the minimum insured amount must be the equivalent of EUR 30,000, and the validity period of the policy corresponds to the period of stay in the Czech Republic.

Step 5

Make a copy of the pages of the Russian passport with a photo and registration. Book a hotel or hostel for the entire period of your stay in the country. If you are traveling at the invitation of a private person, attach this document to the general package.

Step 6

Prepare statements describing your financial situation. To do this, contact the bank where you have an account and ask for a bank statement, certified by the bank's seal and employee's signature. In addition, you can provide a job certificate stating your job title and salary, or traveller's checks showing the name of their owner and a receipt of purchase.

Step 7

Buy plane, train or bus tickets to Prague. Attach copies of documents or printouts of electronic itinerary receipts to the general package of documents.

Step 8

Make an appointment at the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic by calling 495-504-3654. Visit the department at the appointed time. Pay the EUR 35 visa processing fee. In case of obtaining an urgent visa, the fee is 70 euros.
