With two transfers, the journey can take up to thirty-four hours. This is quite tiring, especially for travelers with children. But there is also one positive point. During long (more than four hours) connections, the airline is obliged to provide travelers with a hotel. This means that there is a chance to leave the airport and see a new country. But this is possible only where a visa-free entry is provided for Russians or there is an opportunity to issue an instant transit visa at the airport, which is valid up to thirty-six hours. A flight with two transfers can be convenient for those who are not limited in time of rest and do not fly to Cuba for the standard two weeks. Otherwise, there is simply no point in wasting precious time, which can be spent more productively on the island.
The difference between the cost of a direct flight and those with a connection is often very small. Therefore, if you have little time for rest, it is better to choose a direct flight.
Where to fly - to Havana or to Varadero?
Beach lovers can be advised to fly directly to Varadero with one change. In terms of time, it turns out to be more profitable than flying to Havana, and from there to get to the resort area. And for those who want to see the capital of the island of Liberty, it is better, of course, to buy a ticket with a direct flight. Then a short vacation will be enough for both sightseeing and a lazy beach vacation.
