More and more Russian citizens, vacationing abroad, prefer to rent apartments or villas, rather than stay in hotels. It is not only cheaper, but also more convenient: you will have your own home. Renting a villa is especially convenient if you are traveling with friends or family.
Search for a villa in Spain
Spain willingly issues visas to Russian guests, and real estate prices are quite low here. Therefore, Russians renting holiday villas are not uncommon in this country.
The easiest way to find a villa is to use the internet. There are many sites that host such ads. There are resources in English, Russian and Spanish. Russian-language resources are usually the most expensive, as they charge a hefty commission from clients. On English-language sites, you can find housing both from intermediaries and from owners. On Spanish sites, advertisements are mostly posted by the owners of villas, so finding a good option without a realtor is the easiest way.
When choosing a villa, be guided by those options for which the address of the house is indicated, as well as the contact details of the owner so that you can discuss everything with him directly. Usually, the parameters of the villa itself indicate the number and purpose of rooms, the total footage, the permissible rental period, free dates (not always, it is better to discuss during communication). Pictures of the villa are often posted so that people can estimate in advance what they are choosing.
It is recommended to look for a villa through a trusted agency or a good reputable website, as there are known cases of fraud.
Conclusion of a contract
You can contact the owner directly and arrange a rental with him. You can also conclude a contract through a Spanish agency.
Be careful: according to the law in Spain, only a person who has issued a special license in the municipality can rent out housing, otherwise it is considered a violation of the law, including on your part. Therefore, be sure to ask the owner of a license before concluding an agreement with him.
All other important points, such as check-in time and key collection, must also be agreed in advance.
Payment for the villa
Usually, as soon as you have agreed, the owner will ask you to transfer to his account a small advance payment in the amount of a percentage of the total cost for the entire agreed period of your stay. He will tell you his bank details to which you will need to transfer. When a person receives the money, he will immediately inform you about it. At the same time, he notes on the website that the accommodation has been booked.
The transfer of the rest of the amount is negotiated separately. You either pay for it on the spot before check-in, or transfer it immediately before arriving in the country.
When you make a transfer for the prepayment of the villa, then indicate the number of your international passport. Such a document already serves as the basis for the issuance of a Spanish visa.
