The Moscow Kremlin Museum-Reserve is one of the main museums in the whole country. A visit to it is considered mandatory for both foreign tourists and Russians who came to the capital. In the Kremlin, you can see such famous objects as the Tsar Cannon and the Tsar Bell. The Armory and the country's Diamond Fund are also located on the territory of the Kremlin.

How to get to the Kremlin

The easiest way to get to the Kremlin is to use the subway. In order to go straight to the ticket offices, you need to get to the interchange hub "Arbatskaya" - "Borovitskaya" - "Aleksandrovsky Sad" - "Library named after Lenin". Exit the metro following the Aleksandrovsky Sad signs. On the street in the center of the garden, you will immediately notice a stall resembling a glass box. These are the cash desks of the Moscow Kremlin. Here you can buy tickets to the Kremlin itself and to all the museums that are located on its territory. You can buy tickets to each individual museum on its territory.

The number of tickets to the Armory is limited, and sometimes, when many foreigners come to Moscow (the peak season is mid-summer), not everyone has enough tickets. You can't buy them in advance either.

Having bought tickets, you can enter the Kremlin itself. This can be done in one of two ways. If you are most interested in the Armory and the Diamond Fund, then choose the Borovitsky Gate. To go to them, stand facing the ticket offices and with your back to the Kremlin, and then turn right. These gates are not visible from the ticket offices, but in a few minutes you will reach them. They are located in the tower. You will pass the Armory and the Diamond Fund and only then will you get to the Kremlin.

The entrance directly to the Kremlin itself is located right there, in the Alexander Garden - this is the Trinity Gate. They are located in the Trinity Tower, which is connected by a bridge with the Kutafya Tower, and they check tickets in it.

What is the best time to visit the Kremlin

If you can, do not schedule a visit on a weekend. It is best to come to the Kremlin on a weekday, preferably in the morning. In summer, the Kremlin is open from 9:30 to 18, and in winter - from 10 to 17. The day off is Thursday, but if it falls on any holiday date and people are not working at that time, the day off is canceled. Also, the Kremlin is closed on special dates, for example, during political meetings or important events.

When visiting the museum on a weekend, try to show up early. Arriving in the afternoon, be prepared to queue up for tickets.

The Armory has a special work schedule. She has four sessions, at 10:00, 12:00, 14:30 and 16:30. During a visit to the Armory, everyone who has bought tickets will be given an audio guide. The Chamber closes at 18:00.

The Diamond Fund is open from 10 am to 6 pm and has a lunch break from 1 pm to 2 pm.
