Step 1
One of the most beautiful corners of Russia is Karelia. Winters are mild and snowy here, usually without severe frosts. Many tourist centers and boarding houses offer to relax here for a week or two for little money. There are a lot of entertainments in Karelia, this is ice fishing, dog sledding, ATV and snowmobile racing.
Step 2
Another traditional way to effectively spend the January holidays is to drive along the Golden Ring. Tours along this route can be either one-day or multi-day with accommodation in pleasant hotel rooms. This allows you to flexibly plan your vacation.
Step 3
Veliky Ustyug is a great place both for independent recreation and for families with children. It is a beautiful city with beautiful traditional architecture, museums, the estate of Santa Claus and beautiful surroundings. A couple of days spent here will allow anyone to plunge into a fairy tale.
Step 4
If you want to approach your January holiday in detail, go to Altai. There are wonderful ski slopes, beautiful small cottages, hotels and boarding houses of varying degrees of comfort. There is no place more romantic than snow-covered Altai. This is an unusual way to spend your honeymoon. In Altai, among other things, you can look into the most interesting caves, for example, Tavdinskie. It is not far from them that there are excellent ski resorts that will appeal to both skiers and snowboarders.
