There are different ways of applying for a visa to the Russian Federation, depending on the purposes for which you are entering the country. In particular, if a foreigner travels to visit relatives and friends, an invitation is drawn up for him to justify his arrival in the country.
It is necessary
- - the passport of the inviter;
- - a copy of the passport or other identity card of the invitee;
- - money to pay the duty.
Instructions
Step 1
Write a letter of guarantee. In it, you must indicate that you are taking on the responsibility and expenses for the residence of a foreigner in Russia. You will have to provide him with housing while he is in the country. An example of such a letter can be found in the Federal Migration Service (FMS) at the place of residence.
Step 2
Ask your guest to send you a copy of their ID. Translation of the document into Russian is not required if there is text in English.
Step 3
Pay the fee for issuing the invitation. It is five hundred rubles (data for 2012). This can be done at any bank. You can find out the details of the FMS at your place of residence at Sberbank. In the branches of this bank, on special stands, there are samples of payment documents for depositing money for various government services. There are also examples of filling out receipts for the FMS.
Step 4
Find the address of the local FMS on the organization's website - https://www.fms.gov.ru. Come there at the indicated working hours with all documents. Fill out an application for an invitation to enter the Russian Federation on the spot. Give the documents to an employee of the organization.
Step 5
Wait for the invitation to be issued. It usually takes a month, but if you provide confirmation that a foreigner needs to come to Russia urgently, then you can be accommodated and the processing time can be reduced to 1 working week. When it's done, come to the FMS and pick it up. Next, you will need to send it to the foreigner for whom it was issued. With this document, he will be able to obtain a visa to Russia.
