Malaga is a beautiful city in the Spanish region of Andalusia. It was founded by the Phoenicians, but during its long history it managed to be in the power of the Romans, Visigoths, Arabs and, in the end, passed into the hands of Spanish Catholics. The fame of the city, located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, was brought by the painter Pablo Picasso, who was born here.
The history of Malaga can be traced back to its urban architecture. Some of the most visited places by tourists are the Ruins of the Ancient Roman Theater and the Alcazaba Palace, built by the Arabs in the 11th century. The palace has a huge number of courtyards like endless labyrinths, bizarre fountains, palm trees and various flowers. Through a special passage located on the territory of the palace, you can get to Gibralfaro - a fortress, which the Arabs called "a lighthouse on the cliff".

The house where Pablo Picasso was born is located in the center of Malaga. Now it is a museum dedicated to the life of the master and his work. There are two more museums nearby - the Museum of Mechanical Art and the Museum of Miniatures.
