Most tourists get to Neuschwanstein Castle from Munich. It is quite convenient to take the train. To do this, you need to take the Munich - Füssen train at the central railway station, and then change to bus number 24 at the central square of Füssen and go to Neuschwanstein. Travel time will take about 1 hour by train and 15 minutes by bus.

And you can also go with a transfer. First, you need to go by train "Munich - Buchloe", and at the final point change to train "Buchloe - Fussen". After arriving in Füssen, take bus 24 to Neuschwanstein. The first leg will take about 40 minutes, the second section will take 35 minutes, and the bus will take 15 minutes. The drive from Munich to Neuschwanstein Castle takes less than 2 hours. And there are two options for such a trip. According to the first, you need to take the A96 autobahn to the town of Landsberg, then turn onto the Romantic road in the direction of Füssen. Then drive through the city and follow the sign to head for Neuschwanstein.

In the second option, you need to move along the E54 autobahn, then along the B12 and B16 and drive through the cities of Germering, Bad Woerishofen, Landsberg am Lech, Engen, Rieden, Kaufbeuren, Marktoberdoff, Stetten am Auerberg and Rieden -am Forggensee. The next settlement will be Füssen, and from it to Neuschwanstein no more than 10 minutes drive. Along this path, the entire journey will take from 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes.
