Determine the purpose of your trip. Do you want to see Britain as a student, worker or tourist? Depending on this factor, you will apply for your visa. Work visas can be obtained in several ways, your qualifications are important here. Second, the immigration of highly skilled workers under the Tier 1 PBS program (formerly HSMP). This program practices a point system, i.e. you must collect a certain number of points to participate in it. You need to have at least a Ph. D. degree and a fairly large amount of annual income. But you will not depend on the whims of the employer.
Step 2
Learn the language. The first thing that determines the success of your stay in any country is knowledge of the local language. Of course, for tourists it is enough to take an English-Russian phrasebook on a trip, but if you are a student or a potential employee, then fluency in the language is simply necessary for you. And the higher the level of knowledge of English, the higher your career prospects.
Step 3
Decide on housing. A prerequisite for obtaining an English visa is that you have a place of residence. This can be a hotel reservation or a rented apartment, or a student residence, but information about where you plan to stay is needed. The apartment can be rented through an agency, but be sure to find out all the questions regarding the rental. This will help avoid fraud.
