If you are going on a long hike for the first time, pay due attention to packing your backpack. That is, put all the heaviest things as close to the body as possible, gradually moving on to lighter things and obligatory little things. If you imagine a backpack in a vertical section, then heavy cans of provisions and shoes should be closer to the back. Behind them - towels, clothes. Store all your important little things in the outer pockets. It is convenient to carry a flashlight, knife, small dishes in the side pockets. The tent is attached at the bottom of the backpack, foam - at the top or side. It is better to pack the sleeping bag inside.
Step 3
It is very important to hammer in all the corners at the top of the backpack. There, as a rule, should be lighter items. Pack your backpack so that you can quickly find something without unpacking the backpack completely. To avoid getting your clothes wet in the rain, try to pack the most vulnerable ones (removable socks, underwear, documents, money) in plastic bags.

Remember to keep your hands free when hiking. This means that absolutely all things should be in a backpack. So you can help yourself and others to overcome difficult sections of the path, look at the map at any time, etc. A packed backpack is put on like this: the backpack is on a small elevation, and your task is to stand with your back to the straps, sit down, put your hands in them and straighten up with the backpack on your shoulders.
