All Russian citizens need a visa to visit Canada. A visa in a passport is the only and most important document required to visit the country. To obtain a visa, in turn, other documents will be required.

Step 1
A photocopy of the passport. All pages or only those containing information - it is better to clarify this point in a specific visa application center. The passport must be valid for at least six months after the end of your planned trip. If children are traveling with you, each of them must have their own foreign passport: children entered in the parents' passport are not issued visas.
Step 2
2 photographs measuring 3, 5 x 4, 5 cm. Photos must be fresh. They can be either color or black and white.
Step 3
Completed visa application form (IMM 5257 form). The questionnaire can be filled out both on the Internet and on paper. In the latter case, the application form must be signed. If the application is submitted via the Internet, a signature is not required. The filling language is strictly English or French. Additionally, you need to fill out the Family Information Form, the IMM5645E Form and the Additional Information to the Temporary Resident Visa Application Form.
Step 4
A print or fax confirmation of the hotel reservation, which includes the hotel's contact information and all booking details.
Step 5
Bank statement or photocopy of savings account book. The document must be certified by the seal of the bank. It is advisable to immediately make an extract in English or French.
Step 6
Certificate from the place of work on letterhead indicating the length of service, salary and position of the employee. The certificate must say that for the duration of the visit, the person is given leave, and the job is retained for him. If you are an entrepreneur, then you need to bring a certificate of registration of an individual entrepreneur and documents on tax registration.
Step 7
Non-working persons need to justify their employment (pensioners - bring a pension certificate, and students - a certificate from work), as well as provide a sponsorship letter from the next of kin, a certificate from work and a bank statement in the name of the sponsor.
Step 8
If you are taking a child with you, then you need to make a notarized permission to take him abroad from the second parent.
Step 9
For those traveling on a private visit, you need to provide an invitation from a resident of Canada, as well as confirmation that the host is in the country legally.
