Several route taxis, buses and trains run from St. Petersburg to Tampere to Finland. Tempere is a popular weekend route for Russians. Many families leave the Northern capital for the “near abroad”. By train, you can get to this wonderful city much faster, but you will need to change trains here, since the direct rail between Russia and Tempere has not yet been laid. From Moscow or St. Petersburg, tourists get to Lahti or Tikkuril, and from there they go by train to Tempere. Trains run from Russia to Finland every hour. Comfortable minibuses often run from St. Petersburg to Tampere-Pirkkala Airport, and if you are not used to taking minibuses, experienced and enterprising taxi drivers will take you anywhere.

One unusual festival is held in Tempere every year - Lumos. Every summer representatives of all representatives of the Gothic subculture flock here. Musical groups from Russia and Europe become guests of the festival. The program of the holiday includes the Dark Cruise - a long journey along the river along the Tempere, which is certainly accompanied by music. What is especially interesting, it was in this city that the vocalist of the famous gothic group Lacrimosa, Anna Nurmi, was born.

Those who are accustomed to enjoying life in more traditional ways should come to Tempere to see Särkänniemi. This park has become one of the city's attractions. It has over thirty different attractions, a planetarium, a zoo and a dolphinarium.
