Instructions
Step 1
To obtain a foreign passport, citizens of the Russian Federation need to prepare a set of documents. It includes: - an application for a foreign passport (can be printed from the official website of the Federal Migration Service);
- passport of a citizen of Russia;
- a receipt for payment of the state fee (the production of an old-style passport costs 1000 rubles, a biometric passport - 2500 rubles);
- photo (for a biometric passport - 2 pcs., for an old-style document - 3 pcs.);
- military ID, containing a record of the end of service, or a certificate from the military commissariat (for men 18 - 27 years old);
- permission of the command, issued in accordance with the established procedure (only for military personnel of the armed forces of the Russian Federation);
- a previously issued foreign passport, if its validity has not expired.
Step 2
With this kit, you need to contact the district department of the FMS. There, an employee of the passport processing department will check the correctness of filling out the questionnaire and the presence of all the necessary documents.
Step 3
The foreign passport will be ready in about a month after the submission of the documents. During the holiday season - spring and summer, production may be delayed due to the influx of people.
Step 4
To apply for a passport via the Internet, register on the website https://www.gosuslugi.ru/. Registration takes place in three stages. The first is that a confirmation letter for the created account is sent to your e-mail. By clicking on the link, you can continue the procedure. Then the registration request comes to the mobile phone. And only after that an envelope with a description of further actions is sent to the home address indicated in the questionnaire. After the account is activated, you can fill out an application for obtaining a foreign passport on the website
Step 5
The originals of the documents required for obtaining a passport will still have to be taken to the FMS in person. There is no need to queue. A member of staff will contact you to set the date and time of the audience.
Step 6
A week after the presentation of the original documents to the FMS officer, a new foreign passport will be issued. To obtain it, do not forget to bring your civil passport with you.
