Montenegro is located on the Balkan Peninsula on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. Thanks to the excellent climate, the possibility of visa-free travel and the relative cheapness of goods, this country is very popular with Russian tourists. You can rent accommodation here yourself, so to go on a trip, you just need to choose a route.
Necessary
A valid international passport
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure your international passport is valid. Citizens of the Russian Federation have the right to enter and stay on the territory of Montenegro for 30 days without a visa. For a longer stay in the country, it is required to obtain it at the consular section of the Embassy of Montenegro.
Step 2
Select the airport in Montenegro where you want to fly. If your plans include exclusively staying in the tourist area on the coast, it is better to fly to Tivat. This airport is located on the shores of the Boka Kotorska Bay, from there it is convenient to get to all the resort cities of Montenegro: from Herceg Novi to Budva and Bar.
If you need to visit the heart of this mountainous country, it is better to go to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, where there is also an airport. Keep in mind that during the period from April to October, there are a large number of non-stop flights to Montenegro from many cities in Russia, but in winter, you may have to fly with a connection or transfer.
Step 3
Purchase a plane ticket. This can be done using any online booking system. To do this, enter the required dates and waypoints. The system itself will select options for you with and without connections and will sort them in ascending order of price. You can order a ticket directly on the website of the online booking system or, by choosing a convenient flight, go to the air carrier's page and redeem tickets there. Sometimes, by the way, this option turns out to be cheaper.
The following airlines operate flights to the airports of Montenegro: Montenegro Airlines, JAT, Siberia Airlines, Aeroflot, Turkish Airlines, Austrian Airlines. Payment can be made using a bank card.
Step 4
Create a travel itinerary to Montenegro via Serbia. You can fly to Belgrade by plane, flights there are regular, many of them are direct, they are carried out by a huge number of carriers. Several trains run from Belgrade to Montenegro, in addition, you can plan this part of the route not only to Podgorica, but also to the resort Bar.
The train station in Belgrade is located at Savski trg, Beograd 11000. The train travels approximately 500 km in 12 hours. Also from Belgrade you can get to Podgorica by bus. The bus station is located at Zeleznicka st 4. Traveling through the center of the Balkans will allow you to enjoy the mountain scenery.
