The Indian state of Goa is located in the west of India, on the shores of the Arabian Sea, and consists of three parts: North, Central and South. The beaches in Goa are mostly sandy, gently sloping, the sea temperature near the surf line is about +26 ° C, often cloudy with sand. There are not many fish for those who like to fish near the coast, but a little further from the coast the water becomes clearer, and you can admire the underwater beauty of the tropical sea. The high season runs from December to February.
The beaches of South Goa, in comparison with the North, provide a larger range of services that allow you to relax in a civilized manner, but there are also quiet coasts.
Palolem
One of the best beaches in terms of price / quality ratio. There are few hotels; tourists are offered exotic accommodation in huts. On the one hand, this is not a suite at all, on the other, it is incredibly romantic. From entertainment offered fishing from a boat on the high seas and boat trips. The Palolem coast attracts with its cleanliness, closeness to nature and picturesque views.
Nearby there are Hindu temples: to the north of Bhumipurush, to the southeast of Sri Mallikarjun. Also nearby is the Katigao nature reserve.
Colva
One of the most popular beaches with many hotels, shops and clubs. There is a great opportunity to shop and relax in a four-star hotel. It is clean and the service is geared towards the discerning tourist.
Among the disadvantages is the crowdedness, the main emphasis is placed on the rest of local tourists from the central regions of India. A foreigner may feel a little uncomfortable.
Kansaulim
The complete opposite of Colva Beach. Quiet, uncrowded, with undeveloped infrastructure, the complex is oriented towards romantic-minded vacationers who want to escape from the bustle of the city to nature. Clean coast, clear water, no noisy establishments and entertainment.
Agonda
Another quiet corner of Goa. Perfect cleanliness of the three-kilometer coastline, and along this stretch there are only a few restaurants and cafes. You can rent a tent, sunbed, hammock, trestle bed. There are several hotels, but the prices are unreasonably high, so tourists prefer to camp in a tent. There is no special entertainment.
Focused on lovers of "wild" rest. Among the disadvantages is a strong current near the shore; only experienced swimmers can swim.
Cooking
Designed for guests of nearby hotels. The density of tourists is average, there is a large selection of bars, cafes and restaurants. In terms of prices, the Varca beach is aimed at holidaymakers with an average income, for whom all kinds of entertainment are provided, including a casino.
Nearby there are temples of various denominations - Catholic, Jain, Hindu.
Ohm
The beach is so named because of the similarity of its outlines with the graphic depiction of the mantra Om. One of the most picturesque and tranquil beaches in South Goa.
