To buy a train ticket online, make sure that your bank card has sufficient funds to pay the fare, prepare documents confirming the identity of the passenger, and go to the official website of Russian Railways.
Instructions
Step 1
Register on the website www.rzd.ru. Enter your first name, last name, patronymic, gender, date of birth, phone number and email address. In case of password recovery, please indicate the secret question and the answer to it. If you have already gone through this procedure, log into the system using your username.
Step 2
Set the search parameters for a seat in the carriage in the direction you need. Enter the name of the departure and destination stations, the date of departure. Also you can set the departure time interval. Please note that when departing from Moscow, you need to indicate which station you are leaving from, so first find out this moment.
Step 3
Select the train you need, put a mark in the special box. All other options will be hidden and the Continue button will appear.
Step 4
Select a seat in the carriage, the system will show the number of available seats of different categories and their cost. Check the box on the left next to the desired category, click the "Continue" button.
Step 5
Indicate the name and surname of the passenger for whom you are buying a ticket, an identity document, and a number. In the same form, indicate information about all other passengers. Click the "Continue" button.
Step 6
Check the passenger data, put a tick in the designated field in agreement with the conditions for purchasing tickets via the Internet. Click the Continue button again. Then proceed to pay for your ticket.
Step 7
Enter in the special fields the bank card number, the security code printed on the back, the name of the cardholder as it is written on the card, and the expiration date of the card. Click the OK button. you will then be presented with an order form with a 14-digit number.
Step 8
Issue tickets at the box office of any station; at large stations there are special counters for obtaining tickets paid for via the Internet. You can also use special self-service transaction terminals that will automatically print the ticket on the form when you enter the order number. You can see the terminal addresses on the website.
