This literally Ecumenical Temple (this is the second name of the Temple of All Religions) is a unique architectural treasure that combines 16 symbols of different religions of the world. It is located in the heart of the most beautiful city on the land of Kazan. And by right it is a magnet for all ladles and tourists in the world.
This creation is the embodiment of religious art, which combined elements of such religions as Orthodoxy, Buddhism, Catholicism, Islam, as well as those that no longer exist - Maya, the ancient Assyrian religion. And even the religion of the alien mind.
History of a religious monument
Such a majestic and unifying structure was invented and erected not so long ago - in the last century. It was built by the architect Ildar Manseevich Khanov. Amazing legends about the origin of the idea are told by the guides, demonstrating the monument of faith. At the end of the last century, in 1994, Jesus condescended to the esoteric architect, either in a dream or during a period of meditation, who instructed him to start building with his own hand as soon as possible, on his own plot near a house located in a settlement on the territory Kazan Old Arakchino. And only later, when part of the foundation pit had already been dug out, the idea was born to build a unique museum-temple.
Having learned about the construction project, fellow villagers and residents of other cities began to actively help Khanov. Some brought building materials, others offered the services of a carpenter, bricklayer, handyman. While the founder of the Khans was alive, the construction of the Temple of all religions did not stop for a day. In 2013, he died of a very serious illness, and his loyal followers and assistants continued the work of his life and the maintenance of the sight of Kazan in working order.
What does the building look like
The Temple of All Religions has many beautiful themed rooms and halls. Each of them is dedicated to a different faith: one hall is completely dedicated to Buddha, the other to Ancient Egypt, the third to Catholicism, there is a hall of Christ. And there is also a hall dedicated to theaters, an art gallery (which hosts art exhibitions), and a tea room.
The presence of the founder, Ildar Mansevich Khanov, is also constantly felt here. One of the rooms of the unique temple is a corner of the architect's home. In it, he actually lived during his lifetime. Today there is a museum in his honor.
The temple has many colorful towers, they were built over the years, and some are still not covered with domes. Work on the construction of this facility in Kazan continues.
In the Temple of all religions, none of the priests conduct services, because this is not even a religious building in its usual sense, intended for prayer and support of believers. In fact, this is a museum of culture and religions of humanity that has lived on Earth at all times. According to the idea of the founder, the temple should absorb the elements of all beliefs. The esoteric dreamed of showing people that God is one and further separation of religious teachings, and even more so interreligious conflicts, are absolutely meaningless.
Today, large-scale charity performances are organized in the Temple of All Religions. A spacious stage was installed in the Catholic hall and stationary sound equipment was installed. And the chairs were brought from the auditorium of the Opera and Ballet Theater. Musa Jalil. The fact is that during the renovation of the theater, which was carried out in the late 90s, they were replaced with new soft seats with backs, and the old ones, “hatched”, as the locals joke, were brought and used in this hall in Old Arakchino.
In terms of the project of the complex - the construction of an ecological school, an art school for children, a conservatory for preschoolers and schoolchildren, a memorial for the dead, as well as a rehabilitation center for drug addicts.
