The Temple of Truth is the only modern building that has been under construction for over 30 years. Although, calling it modern is not entirely correct. The architectural and constructive solution is typical for Thai culture, the work is carried out without the use of special tools and components.
Everyone who has come to Thailand at least once, at least for a short time, strives to look at the Temple of Truth, which is located in Pattaya. This unique building is not only a symbol of Thai culture, but also the clearest proof of the creativity and unity of many, many people. The incredibly beautiful structure, more than 100 m in height, has not yet been completed, and what the final result will be is difficult to predict. But already now the flow of tourists to it does not dry out, and the interest is only growing.
Description of the Temple of Truth and the history of its appearance
The idea to build the Temple of Truth belongs to Lek Viriyapan, a Thai businessman. Initially, it was conceived as a museum of religious art, but gradually turned into a real Temple, where they seek comfort, truth and answers to the most pressing questions.
The Temple of Truth is not like the Buddhist counterparts built many centuries ago, but it is filled with a special charm:
- a light breeze wanders through its open halls,
- visitors are greeted by wooden sculptures of animals and people,
- the surroundings are filled with the scent of wood heated by the sun,
- the spiers of the building over 100 m high are lost in the turquoise sky.
Work on the construction of the Temple of Truth began in 1981 and has not been completed yet. It was assumed that not a single nail would be used, but this idea had to be abandoned in order to ensure the integrity of the huge structure. Now both its creators and Thais assure that the nails are not driven into the cap, since they will be removed at the end of the work.

The unique Thai Temple of Truth is located in the northern part of Pattaya, at Cape Rachwate. The gate leading to the garden of the Temple is located on Soi 12 Street. The spiers of the building are visible from any part of the city, and it is practically impossible to get lost on the way to it.

It is important to know that there are certain requirements for behavior on the territory of the Temple of Truth and for the clothing of visitors. Services are already being held in the Temple, those who wish to read prayers, there is even a ritual of how to make wishes and ask the Buddha for something. In the central hall, practically around the clock, the ministers recite mantras, which already at the entrance to the Temple of Truth creates a special mood.
The cost of entering the territory of the Temple of Truth in Pattaya ranges from 350 to 500 baht. If a visitor wants to ride an elephant or a boat, visit the massage room, then he will have to part with another 100-200 baht.
