The protected area of Palava offers numerous hiking trails, areas of almost untouched nature.
There are also many other attractions in the immediate vicinity. One of them is the Valtice Castle, which once housed the princely family of Liechtenstein. The magnificent palace complex has been rebuilt many times, especially impressive are the Renaissance and Baroque renovations, which gave the castle its present appearance.
Next to the castle, there are also the picturesque gardens of the complex, which are ideal for relaxation. Even more attractive, however, is a visit to the dungeon of Valtice Castle. Here you will find the National Wine Center, where you can enjoy tasting the best wines of the Czech Republic.
Speaking of wine, one cannot fail to mention the nearby Mikulov. This is the center of the wine-growing region of the same name, and visitors will find a wine-making trail there with many interesting stops, from which you will not only learn about the history and realities of local wine, but also about the Mikulov area. The duty of the traveler, of course, should also be a visit to one of the famous cellars and a tour of the vineyards.
