Odessa is rightfully considered one of the favorite vacation spots for Russians on the territory of Ukraine. The Black Sea hero city and port with more than two hundred years of history is interesting not only for beach lovers, but also for those who are fond of history.

Step 1
Decide what kind of rest in Odessa you are interested in. As a rule, tourists combine excursions and rest on the beach, and someone else has time to undergo a course of treatment, since sanatoriums and health resorts in the Odessa region are presented in abundance. A list of them with a list of basic procedures can be found on any tourist website in Ukraine. For those who do not want to spend their entire vacation on recovery, travel agents offer trips to mineral water springs or estuaries (shallow bays) with therapeutic mud.
Step 2
Make a basic list of attractions that you would like to visit in Odessa. Traditionally, guests of the city are interested in the monument to Duke (Duke) of Richelieu, who is one of the founders of the city. The monument is located in the very center of the city, as is the Potemkin Stairs leading to the Marine Station. In the city garden of Odessa, visitors can sit on the famous twelfth chair from the novel of Odessa citizens Ilf and Petrov, and on Primorsky Boulevard take a photo next to the Odessa cannon. History lovers sign up for excursions to the Odessa catacombs - an extensive network of underground quarries created at the end of the 19th century and which served as a shelter for partisans during the Great Patriotic War. And, of course, all categories of tourists will not pass by the legendary Privoz - Odessa market, where sailors still supply "scows full of mullets".

Purchase tickets in advance for the main events of the summer 2012 in Odessa. This is the International Film Festival, unofficially called "Ukrainian Cannes", which will take place from 13 to 21 July. Traditionally, in July and August, the port will host the Championship of Ukraine in sailing in cruising classes (from 4 to 10 July 2012) and the Black Sea Cup (from 17 to 24 August 2012).

Decide which beach suits you best - comfortable or "wild". You can relax on the Black Sea coast in Odessa both within the city limits, on the line from Lanzheron to Bolshoi Fontana, and from Chernomorka to Dacha Kovalevsky, where there are rocky beaches without amenities. All city beaches, such as "Chaika", "Kurortny", "Arcadia" can be reached by tram.
