An international passport is a document proving the identity of a Russian citizen outside the country. Every person traveling abroad should have it. If you have already started its design, then you can find out about its readiness in different ways.
Instructions
Step 1
Contact the branch of the Federal Migration Service, where you applied for a passport. This can be done by calling the phone. You can find its number in the directories of organizations in your city or through the website of the Federal Migration Service - https://www.fms.gov.ru/ From the main page, go to the interactive map. On it, select your city, click on it with the mouse and get a list of FMS in this region. There will be addresses, opening hours and phone numbers. This will help you contact the organization's secretary about the availability of your documents. When you call, you will need to give your last name, first name and patronymic, as well as the date when you submitted your documents for obtaining a passport. If, after repeated attempts, you could not get through to the organization, come there in person. Usually questions about skip-the-line.
Step 2
Be guided by the declared time of making a foreign passport. Usually a month is enough for this, but in some cases the dates change. For example, if you do not live in the region where you have a permanent residence permit, the time interval increases to three months. Also, it may take more time to check the application for a passport if the person who submitted it serves in the army.
Step 3
Find out about the readiness of your papers online. To do this, go to the FMS section of your city using the same interactive map. Use it to go to the page for your region. On some of them it is possible to find out the status of your application and the place of the queue on an individual basis. To do this, you will need to indicate the last name, first name and patronymic, as well as a special number, which is given to confirm that you are the real future owner of the passport.
