Instructions
Step 1
Start your city tour from the majestic Hohensalzburg Fortress. This defensive structure was built at a height of 120 meters. For more than 900 years of history (it was founded in 1077), this fortress has experienced many wars and attacks, but only once was it surrendered without a fight. It happened during the war with Napoleon. Unfortunately, the fortress founded in 1077 has not survived to this day in its original form. Hohensalzburg acquired its modern appearance only in the middle of the sixteenth century. Tourists visiting this fortress can see various torture rooms, armory rooms, prison premises, as well as the "golden hall", which at one time showed all the luxury of power. Also, it is an excellent observation deck. At an altitude of 120 meters, a beautiful view of the city of Salzburg opens up.
Step 2
The next stop will be the Salzburg Cathedral. It was founded back in 774, but the original appearance of the building has not been preserved. This was due to a fire that occurred in Salzburg at the end of the twelfth century. The cathedral was restored only at the beginning of the thirteenth century. The Salzburg Cathedral was not spared by the Second World War. During the bombing, the building was damaged again, but the restoration was not long in coming. Now tourists can see a completely renovated but very beautiful cathedral.
Step 3
The last stop will be the Mozart House Museum. It is here that all lovers of the classics gather, the inhabitants of the Austrian city of Salzburg carefully and anxiously keep the memory of their great compatriot. So in the Mozart House-Museum you can see antique furniture, and most importantly, the restored place of work and creativity of the great composer. However, getting here is not easy.
