The heart of Alicante is La Rambla de Mendez Nunes; processions, parades and various religious processions take place along this central street. Another favorite street for walking is Paseo Maritimo. Shops, restaurants, cozy cafes and souvenir shops are concentrated on this seaside boulevard. There is also a palm alley, the sidewalk of which is lined with colored marble, in which the sun's rays play merrily.
