Volzhsky is a satellite city of Volgograd. It is located on the opposite bank of the Volga River from the hero city. The population of Volzhsky is slightly more than 300 thousand people. But in this place many chemical enterprises are located, which produce products for both Russia and other countries. You can get to this cozy corner by several means of transport.

Step 1
In Volzhsky itself there is a railway and a bus station. And also large tracks adjoin it. But there is not a direct connection with all parts of Russia. Quite often you have to take a ticket to Volgograd, and from there get there by car. The distance from Volgograd to Volzhsky is no more than 15 km, and you will have to cross the river along one of the bridges.

It is easy to get to Volzhsky from any district of Volgograd by public transport. A large number of fixed-route taxis and buses run between cities regularly. You can also call a taxi. It takes about 3 hours to get from the farthest point of Volgograd, but from the center it takes only 30-40 minutes. There is also an electric train from the metropolis several times a day, which also comes to the satellite city.

The railway directly to Volzhsky can be reached only from the southern part of the country. Passenger trains come from Astrakhan, Chechnya, Stavropol Territory. There are few trains, so it's easier to take a ticket to Volgograd.

It is easy to get to Volzhsky by bus from Moscow, Voronezh, Astrakhan. Every day, at least 4 buses from the capital come to the city, the same number goes back. In summer, additional flights to Krasnodar Territory appear. The Volzhsky has good transport links with the region: flights to Kamyshin, Uryupinsk, Srednyaya Akhtuba have existed for many years.

There is no airport in Volzhsky, but you can fly to Volgograd. Today communication has been established with many countries. You can directly get to European countries, resort centers and back. From the airport to Volzhsky by car it takes only 1.5 hours. A comfortable taxi is always at the service of the guests of the city.

The Volgograd-Astrakhan highway passes through the Volzhsky. There is also communication with Voronezh, Saratov, Penza. The roads are in satisfactory condition, but it will not be difficult to get to Volzhsky by car.
