Russian citizens can obtain an entry visa to Egypt directly at the airport upon arrival. The visa costs $ 15. Seasoned travelers know that it takes a few minutes to fill out an Egypt visa form, but for newbie tourists, the filling process can turn into a problem, since all information must be presented in English.
The Egyptian tourist visa entitles you to stay in the territory of the state for one month. If necessary, the period of stay can be extended at the Migration Office by paying an additional fee. You need to fill out the form in block letters in English, without corrections. All data must match the data specified in the passport.
Filling out the form
The first column is the surname. It is called “Family Name (Capital Letter). In the first column, you need to write your last name in English letters, as if rewriting it from your passport. For example, Ivanov.
The second column is the name: “Fore Name”. The name is written in the same way as the surname: in English letters, in accordance with passport data. For example, Ivan.
This is followed by the column "Nationality" - "Nationality". We prescribe nationality in English. Example for Russians: Russia.
Then, in the “Passport Number & Type” column, enter the passport data: series and number.
Next, you need to indicate the address at which you will live in Egypt. In the “Address in Egypt” box, write the address of the hotel or rental accommodation booked.
After the address, you are asked to select the desired option from the list of travel purposes. This column is called “Purpose of Arrival” and contains the following goals: tourism, study, convention, culture, medical treatment, business, training, other (other). Just check the box next to the option you want.
In the next column - “Accompanied on the Passport; Date; Birth”, the data from the passport of the next child with you is entered. It looks like this: Ivanov Ivan 2004-01-01. If you are traveling with two or more children entered in your passport, turn the form over and continue writing on the other side.
In the upper right corner of the form there are two columns in which you need to enter the following information: “Trip No” - the number of the flight that delivered you to Egypt, “Arriving From” - the name of the city from which you flew.
Sinai Visa
Many have heard that the Sinai visa exists, but do not know what it is and how to use it. According to the terms of the 1978 Camp David Agreement, all tourists wishing to vacation in the Sinai Peninsula can be granted a free Sinai visa. To do this, on the back of the form, under the names of the children, you need to write the following text: “Sinai Only”.
The Sinai visa is valid for 15 days. A tourist who has received such a visa can travel within the Sinai Peninsula from Taba to Sharm el-Sheikh, visit Israel and the Monastery of St. Catherine, climb Mount Moses. In 2014, the territory in which the Sinai visa is valid expanded: it included the Ras Mohammed reserve.
