Kovrov is a settlement in the Vladimir region, the first mention of which is found in the chronicles of the 12th century. In November 2011, he was awarded the title "City of Military Glory"; during the Great Patriotic War, it was here that about 1.2 million units of military equipment were produced.

You can get to Kovrov by rail. In this settlement there are two stations at once: Kovrov-1 and Kovrov-2, the first of them serves suburban and long-distance trains, and the second - only suburban traffic. Kovrov has direct communication with Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novorossiysk, Yekaterinburg and many other cities of Russia. Travel time from Moscow to Kovrov is 4-4.5 hours.

High-speed electric trains "Sapsan", connecting Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, also pass through the Kovrov station. At the moment, Sapsans do not stop in Kovrov, but in 2014 it is planned to change the high-speed train schedule and include a stop at the Kovrov-1 station. Most of the long-distance trains running through the main railway station of Kovrov are parked for no more than 5 minutes due to low passenger traffic.

Travelers will also be able to get to Kovrov using an intercity bus service. Flights to Moscow (Central Bus Station), Vladimir, Ivanovo, Murom and Yaroslavl depart daily from the local bus station.
