For the final approval of the Macau law, only a few signatures of the PRC and Russian officials are required.

Keep in mind that visa-free travel to Macau is yet to come. For those who really want to visit China now, there is another opportunity to visit the republic without a visa. We are talking about the city of Heihe, located on the Chinese side of the Amur River opposite Blagoveshchensk. To get to China, buy a ferry ticket and go through customs from the Russian side. Having received a mark in your passport, you will board the ferry and in 20 minutes you will be in Heihe. Some formalities await you here too - filling out a migration card and going through passport control. This is where all the difficulties end, you can stay in Heihe for up to a month without any registration. But keep in mind that you will still not be able to get to other cities of the PRC, this requires a visa.
