Not everyone has the opportunity to go on a long journey, but the soul still longs for new experiences. But by going to an unfamiliar place for just one day, you can also have a great time. Moreover, you can relax in one of the European capitals, and in a neighboring town.
Instructions
Step 1
It doesn't matter what city you live in, get a guide to the area - there are probably a couple of interesting objects nearby. These can be architectural monuments, nature reserves and reserves, places where famous battles took place. If you live in Moscow, you can get up early in the morning and go to Sergiev Posad or Suzdal, cities famous for their ancient temples. The Trinity-Sergius Lavra, located in Sergiev Posad, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Suzdal, there are more than fifty Orthodox churches, chapels and other structures.
Step 2
Lovers of nature and Russian literature can visit Yasnaya Polyana, located in the Tula region, where Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy once lived and created his famous works. All buildings of the estate are in excellent condition, including the rebuilt wing where the famous writer stayed for over fifty years and where he created such works as Anna Karenina and War and Peace. Today the wing houses the Lev Nikolaevich Museum.
Step 3
The outskirts of St. Petersburg are also rich in sights. Lovers of exquisite architecture and well-groomed park ensembles can go to the famous Peterhof to admire the palaces, gardens and fountains. A beautiful view of the Gulf of Finland opens from the territory of the former royal country residence. If you prefer more ancient and less elegant, but solid buildings, go on an excursion to Vyborg. The famous Vyborg castle in the Central European military style, erected on a tiny island in the Gulf of Finland, dates back to the 13th century. And from the tower of St. Olaf a wonderful view of the city opens.
Step 4
With the development of air connections, day trips are not limited to the surrounding area. And although Europe is usually visited for at least a weekend, you can only spend one day in one of the capitals. All countries are open in front of you, but it is better to choose a small capital, to which it will not take long to fly and it will not be excruciatingly sorry that it is time for you to leave, and you have seen only a small fraction of the beauty. Visit Prague, Warsaw, Talin, Stockholm. These cities are unlikely to leave you indifferent.
