Africa is a very large continent and is the second largest in the world. On a huge territory there are 50 countries that are very different from each other. In many of them, tourists will find unique historical and natural attractions.
Instructions
Step 1
The unofficial name for Africa sounds like the "black continent". This is due to the racial composition: most countries are filled with inhabitants of the Negroid race. However, not all. North Africa is predominantly composed of Muslim countries, the main population of which are Arabs.
Step 2
Tourism business is very developed in Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco. Thousands of travelers come here every year to have a good time on the beaches, as well as to plunge into an unfamiliar, exotic culture. The main attractions for many are the legendary Egyptian pyramids and the Sphinx guarding them. However, in Egypt it is also worth paying attention to Al Qarafa ("city of the dead", "cemetery"). This attraction is located in Cairo, but is rarely visited by tourists. The City of the Dead is the world's oldest cemetery, dating back over 2000 years. The amazing architecture turns the site of the tragedy into a very beautiful and unique museum.
Step 3
Tunisia also has many attractions. Some of them, for example, the terms of Pius, Carthage, date back to the times of the Roman Empire. In parallel with them, interesting places coexist that already embody the Arab culture. Almost every city consists of two parts: old and new. In the first one you will plunge into the magical world of markets, beautiful fabrics, amazing architecture. In the second today, mainly hotels and more modern buildings are located. Another attraction of Tunisia is the world's oldest synagogue El Griba (located on the island of Djerba).
Step 4
Morocco is more and more mastered by many tourists every year. This country is unique and inimitable, very colorful and interesting. The main historical sights are the Berdain gate, the Moulay-Idris mausoleum, the Dar-Kebir palace, as well as many beautiful mosques. However, the country's trademark is amazing markets that lure tourists with tart aromas, bright fabrics and unusual sounds. You should also pay attention to parks, such as the Menara Gardens in Marrakech.
Step 5
The countries of North Africa are the most accessible and visited. Still, the main attractions of the continent are unique nature reserves. You can plunge into the world of wild nature in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania. In the territories of these countries there are many national parks where you can see hippos, lions, elephants, antelopes, giraffes and other animals not in a cage, but in their natural environment. The most popular nature reserves are Bwindi (Uganda), Serengeti and Ngorongoro (Tanzania), Kagere and Virunga (Rwanda), Mosi-oa-Tunya (Zambia).
Step 6
Zambia and Tanzania are also home to some of the world's most popular natural attractions. In the first country, it is Victoria Falls, recognized as a true miracle of nature and "the most beautiful sight in the world." For two kilometers, the waters of the Zambezi River freely flow down from the sheer 100-meter cliffs. In Tanzania, travelers will see the legendary Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point on the continent.
Step 7
Another unique attraction can be seen in the southernmost point of Africa - South Africa (South Africa). It is here that the Cape of Good Hope, called the End of the Earth, is located. The cliffs of the cape are the highest in the world, therefore, in ancient times, shipwrecks often occurred in these places. Today in this place there is a nature reserve with many unique plants.
