A Paris vacation is the most romantic getaway imaginable. Take some time to find a good hotel and enjoy the French capital.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a map of Paris and mark on it the main attractions and excursions you want to visit. This way, you will outline the area in which it is best to settle.
Step 2
Check out travel guide and travel tips sites. In such sources, several of the most popular hotels are usually mentioned. Decide if you want to live in the center or want to save money and settle closer to the outskirts. In the second case, choose a hotel on the metro line or other transport leading to the center.
Step 3
Decide what you expect from the hotel. Do you want to wake up in a luxurious king size bed and wash your face in a marble bathroom, or would you rather save money to spend in stores and restaurants, for example? Do you dream of living in a huge room in a modern hotel or do you want to live in a cozy attic of an old building? Paris has hotels for all occasions. There are more luxurious modern hotels on the right bank of the Seine, while the left bank is replete with small hotels, housed in typical Parisian houses.
Step 4
Find several hotels that suit all your requirements. There are many sites on the Internet where you can read what conditions a particular hotel offers. After that, go to specialized sites where visitors leave reviews, and read what tourists who have visited the selected establishments write.
Step 5
Explore special hotel offers. These can be discounts for ordering a certain number of nights, in low season (early spring and late autumn) prices can also be reduced. Some hotels offer free parking, others offer a babysitter for a child, and still others offer something else useful.
Step 6
Call or send an e-mail and book a room at the selected hotel. Be sure to receive a written confirmation of your reservation, write down the phone number of the establishment and the name of the person who took the order from you. Call and check the availability of your reservation a couple of days before arrival to insure yourself against unpleasant situations.
