The Finnish consulate is considered one of the most loyal to Russians, especially residents of St. Petersburg. Russians are willingly granted visas, including multiple ones. Finland is also, perhaps, the only Schengen country that does not require proof of income from Russian applicants.

Instructions
Step 1
It is better to start collecting documents for a visa with confirmation of the purpose of the trip. Most often, a hotel in Finland is booked for this. This can be done on the website of the selected hotel or third-party organization. Some of them have websites in Russian, but more interesting options are in the English-speaking segment of the Internet. After booking a room, contact the hotel administration (preferably in English) and ask to send you a fax with a booking confirmation. Attach the received document to your visa application.
Step 2
Go to the website of the Finland Visa Application Center. On its main page there is a link to the questionnaire form, which can be completed electronically. Fill out the form, then print and sign.
Step 3
Take a photo. The Finnish consulate requires that you have a color photograph measuring 36 x 47 mm, head height 25 - 35 mm, no older than six months, on a light, but not white background, best of all gray, full-face, without a headdress and dark glasses, without retouching.
You can take a picture directly at the visa application center in a photo booth.
Glue the photo to the profile in the frame provided for it so that your face is in the middle of the frame.
Step 4
There is also a link to the online appointment form from the main page of the Visa Application Center website. Follow it, make an appointment. You can make an appointment both at the visa center and directly at the consulate in Moscow or St. Petersburg.
Step 5
You will also need an insurance policy. It must be valid for the entire duration of your future trip throughout the Schengen area and have insurance coverage of at least 30 thousand euros without a deductible.

Step 6
Pay the consular fee. If you plan to submit documents to the consulate in Moscow, you need to contact the bank located at 38 Stremyanny lane (metro stations Serpukhovskaya and Dobryninskaya). You can also pay through ATMs of "Nordea Bank". Information about the payment of the fee when contacting the Consulate General in St. Petersburg and the Consulates in Petrozavodsk and Murmansk, is available on the website of the Consulates of Finland. In the visa center, payment is accepted on the day of application in cash rubles or euros. In addition, you will need 21 euros for the services of the center. The visa fee for Russians, as in other Schengen countries, is 35 euros.
