Rules for choosing an inexpensive hotel in Moscow
When planning your trip to Moscow, try to attend to the search for a hotel as early as possible. All good things are quickly sorted out and, since there are always a lot of visiting tourists in the capital of Russia, hotels that promise really favorable prices and pleasant conditions are rarely empty.
Pay attention to the various offers for promotions. Everyone knows that with promotions you can buy cheap air tickets or goods, but for some it will be a revelation that in the hotel business in Russia you can recently find exactly the same offers. For promotional purposes, the hotels offer some rooms at particularly low rates, so they should be the first to search for the price.
As a rule, the most inexpensive hotels are located far from the center, for example, in the Izmailovo or Ostankino districts. In most cases, you can find a single room in the range of 3000-4000 rubles, you will have your own bathroom. Breakfast is often included in the price. However, this option has a drawback: you will have to spend a lot of time traveling to the center, and if you are by car, then get ready for traffic jams.
If a hotel attracted you with its cost and location and you see that the price is incredibly low, then carefully look at the services that are included in the bill. Perhaps this is a "shared" room, that is, you will have to share a room with strangers, or the Internet, shower, hairdryer and other necessary services will be paid.
Be sure to read the reviews of previous guests. Some hotels, despite the fact that they belong to the economy class, will provide you with really comfortable accommodation and good service, while others, at the same price, will please with boorish staff and non-observance of hygiene standards.
Hostels
In hotel search engines, you can often see very cheap accommodation options with a central location, but the hotel has a strange name - a hostel. What is it? Hostel is an English word, translated into Russian it means "hostel". Hostel rooms are divided into two types: dormitori (shared) and private (in other words, a private room). In the dormitory, besides you, other people can stay, and so on, until all the beds in the room, which are usually two-story there, are filled. A "private" room in a hostel does not always provide for its own separate bathroom, this point needs to be clarified additionally.
Advantages of hostels: central location, interesting design of the premises (not always, but often), the presence of a living room in which you can talk with other travelers, including foreigners, a "club" atmosphere. Disadvantages: lack of personal space, not always perfect cleanliness, sometimes noisy.
The hostel is an excellent accommodation option for travelers who want to save money and chat with their own kind, but it is not always suitable for those who value privacy and silence. This is definitely an absolutely unsuitable accommodation option for people with small children.
