Prague is an old medieval city, which offers a lot of entertainment for tourists. You can wander around the Old Town for hours, getting lost in the beautiful alleys among lovely cozy establishments, you can visit excellent clubs and restaurants in Prague, or you can go to museums. Prague is nice at any time of the year, but in some seasons the weather is especially pleasant there.
Instructions
Step 1
Prague has a mild temperate continental climate. Winters are quite warm, summer temperatures are usually pleasant, there is almost no heat, but rains are not uncommon. In March, spring is already coming, and in December the first snow falls, although there are seasons when it is late, then the city flowers last until the very new year.
Step 2
The best time to visit Prague is during the summer. In the warm season, it is pleasant to walk around the city, all museums are open, and restaurants and cafes set up tables in the open air. The bars offer excellent local beers. Summertime is ideal for visiting attractions such as city parks, Prague Castle, Vysehrad, various squares, Petřín Hill, Jewish Castle. Visits to the surrounding castles, which are in abundance around Prague, are also most convenient to do in the summer. If you come during a warm season, be sure to take a walk along the Vltava River, which will offer unforgettable views of the city! But do not forget to bring an umbrella and a light jacket: the weather can change unexpectedly.
Step 3
Autumn in Prague is also very good, especially the first part of it. It is still very warm during the day, but the nights are already cool. But in the fall, the theater season opens, and this will appeal to art lovers. Also, autumn is the best time for shopping, this is the best season for sales lovers. Hotel prices are dropping slightly, but not so much as to save significant money. Many museums are still open in the fall, so this is the perfect time to visit if you don't like crowds of tourists.
Step 4
Winter in Prague is usually snowless. Snow falls, but does not linger. However, a number of museums are closed during the winter. It is believed that Prague looks more beautiful in summer than in winter, but if you are lucky enough to see fresh snow, then you can safely argue with this statement! Winter is a great time to visit the city's pubs and restaurants. It is especially pleasant to stroll through the cool streets to the hotel after a good portion of delicious national cuisine. An additional advantage: prices for hotels and excursions have already dropped quite a lot, you can save a lot. The exception is New Year and Christmas: this is the high season in Prague.
Step 5
Spring in Prague belongs to the transitional season. The city is preparing for the summer, prices for guests are gradually increasing. The weather is usually very good for walking around the city. Many more museums are open than in late autumn. In the spring, an important event is held for which beer lovers from all over the world come to Prague - the Beer Festival. It lasts three weeks and starts in mid-May and ends in early June.
